February Goals // 2017

January was good. Some of my goals changed a little bit as the month went by. For one, I canceled my membership at the gym where I was doing yoga. Honestly, as much as I love yoga it was not my favorite gym to go to. So I switched  to a gym my husband would start attending with me and we have been way more consistent since. If a goal isn't working, CHANGE IT! Goals are supposed to inspire you, not bog you down. I've changed my workout routine a bit which you'll see below.

So I completed my February Powersheets prep last night and figured while I had some time I would share my February Goals.

MONTHLY GOALS

+ Schedule next 2 dentist appointments. (This is something that has been in my mind for MONTHS. I need to make this happen so I'm just going to schedule my next two to get it over with.)

+ Set phone to be on "Do Not Disturb" from 9 pm - 8 am each day.

+ Turn off social media "dings" (I've been meaning to do this for awhile, so I figured I may as well make it a goal!)

+ Read 2 books

+ Write Monat Thank You's (I've been so blessed by support in my Monat business and want people to know how grateful I am for their support!)

+ CPR/First Aid Certification (This is a specific step toward Foster Care licensure. We are getting closer!)

+ Brainstorm sesh for my secret project (Ahhh I'm so excited. Stay tuned for more info)

+ Temple Date Night

+ Clean Out Closet

+  Plan March Powersheets

WEEKLY GOALS

+ Write & Post a Blog Post

+ Journal (I've been slacking at my Sunday journal writing and want to get back into this habit)

+ Write Colten a love note

+ BBG 1 (I'm doing the Kayla Itsines BBG Workouts, but I'm modifying just a little bit to respect my body. I'll be doing 2 of the workouts each week!)

+ BBG 2

+ Prayer Warrior Journal (I really want to spend some more time in quiet and prayer. I've been wishing I could do more to help the world, and while I know praying doesn't solve anything, I do believe that God has so many blessings waiting for us, we just have to ask! I'll also be asking for prayer requests each week, so watch for those!)

DAILY GOALS

+ Greens (Green smoothie, It Works Greens, Actual Green Veggies, Terra Greens from Doterra I don't care! I've just gotta do it.)

+ Scriptures

+ Skincare Routine (Still trying to make this a habit!)

+ 10 Push Ups ( I have the weakest upper arm strength so I'm hoping this might at least help a little!)

+ Biz Post (Monat, Salon, Doterra or Blog. Just something that spreads the word of the things I love!)

+ Talk to God

+ Kiss Colten

Now tell me, what are your February goals! If you blog, leave me a link below so I can come read!

What Is Oil Pulling? + My Results!!

About a year ago I saw a post about Oil Pulling. Oil Pulling is an oral detoxification through the process of swishing tablespoon of oil (I use coconut oil) in your mouth for 5-20 minutes.

I started to read more about the benefits and last month I decided I really wanted to give it a try. I purchased some organic coconut oil, some Clove essential oil and gave it a try.

Some of the benefits of oil pulling:

> Whitens Teeth
> Reduces Headaches
> Detoxes the Body
> Keeps Skin Clear
> Reduces Plaque
> Reduces Cavities
> Helps TMJ

After two weeks of oil pulling, here are my results...

I was SHOCKED! I'm so glad I had a before picture to compare it to because holy crap!

I've been using about a tablespoon of oil + 1-2 drops of Clove Essential Oil, and swishing it around for 5-20 minutes. I'll be honest, when I first started, I GAGGED on it. I gagged the first few times, and I could only swish for a few minutes. Now I am up to about 15 minutes a time and no gagging. It has gotten so much easier. I usually walk around and do other things while I swish or I sit and read on my Kindle.

Clove cleanses the mouth and gums as well as promotes fresh breath. So it's kind of like you're just taking your oil pulling one step farther! I ended up purchasing a full size Clove and a HUGE jar of Coconut Oil after seeing my results! This is definitely one part of my nightly routine I will be continuing with.

Have you ever tried Oil Pulling?

How I Survived My First Week Eating Vegetarian (10 Tips!)

I recently wrote about why I'm trying to eat vegetarian. I'm officially on my 12th day of eating this way and so happy and motivated to continue! I was so grateful that there were so many guides online on how to transition into vegetarianism so I thought maybe writing an update of how I survived my first week.

--------------

1. SHOP!

Go shopping for some food you love and know you will eat. The first day I decided to eat vegetarian was a Sunday (we choose to not shop on Sundays) so it was a little harder to eat this day. We have a lot of meat sitting in the freezer and I was stumped about what to eat that didn't include meat. (Spoiler alert: You can eat SO MUCH!) Once we went shopping I had fresh fruit, snacks, potatoes, cereal, green smoothies, spaghetti, almond milk, frozen veggies, etc. I love having a full pantry and fridge so eating vegetarian got really exciting once I had the food I wanted.

2. Try a Meat Substitute.

I was pretty wary of meat substitutes. How does it look like meat, and taste like meat, if it's NOT meat... kinda freaky. I made my Mandarin Orange Cristy Chickn from Gardein and it was so good! My husband asked to try it and it tasted so good! We bought it again and made it with rice the second time and it was still so good. We've now bought Gardein beef crumbles, Boca Chickn patty sandwiches, and Quinoa Morning Star burgers. They are all super good! My husband is not doing the vegetarian thing with me, but he's eating these meals with me.  Cruelty free for the win!

3. Have a Few Go-To Meals

It can be really stressful when you wake up in the morning and have to hurry and think of something to eat and pack for lunch that doesn't contain meat. I didn't consider myself a huge meat eater but I did not realize how much meat I ate until I quit eating it. Turkey sandwiches, chicken nuggets, salad with grilled chicken... it was all out of the question. It was stressful! I made sure to have a few cereals I love on hand, and Van's Vegan waffles for breakfast. That way I had some quick delicious breakfasts. I did the same for lunches, except I knew I could eat peanut butter & jelly sandwiches and baked potatoes. Yum!

4. Educate Yourself

Watch a few documentaries, get a few books from the library, and google and read tons of online information about going vegetarian and vegan. Feeling knowledgable will empower you. Whenever I get tempted by meat (RIP Chickfila) I think about the documentary Vegucated and the poor chickens. I can not UNSEE those images. I remember the health benefits that have been proven by eating less or no meat and I get excited for those to be MY health benefits.

5. Have a Quick Response

It's terrifying for me to have to tell people I'm not eating meat. Especially since the decision came on so suddenly and without any preparation. After answering to a few people I told my husband I needed to come up with a scripted response I could use when someone says, "Why would you go vegetarian?" So I did.

"Well, I knew a few bloggers who have recently gone vegan and have seen amazing health benefits. I started looking more into it and decided it was I wanted to try for myself." I'm also going vegetarian (and hopefully eventually vegan) for the animals and for the environment, but that response is true and also not super offensive to meat eaters and seems to be quick in and out response. It's definitely the easy way out, but for now, it works.

6. Look at Your Schedule and Have a Plan

If you know you're going to be going out to eat do a quick google search "How to Eat Vegetarian at ________". You could also call ahead. So many people have already done the research. McDonald's is a horrible place to go! Most others places make easy accommodations. Chick-fil-a made my wrap without chicken, Wendy's has baked potatoes and salads, Taco Bell has lots of vegetarian options just order without meat. (Vegan is MUCH trickier because I swear dairy products are in EVERYTHING, which is why I'm making the vegetarian transition first)

If you're going to any family meals, find out what they are making and make sure you can eat something there. If you can't eat much there, be sure to eat before you go!

7. Let the People Close to You Know What You Are Doing

I let my husband know when I made the decision because he was most important to me since he would be the one weirded out when I didn't want a Junior Bacon Cheeseburger at Wendy's for date night. I also started tweeting about it which is how my Mom found out. I don't think you have to make a huge Facebook announcement, but let your besties, and significant other know so they can support you.

8. Decide What New Foods You Want to Try

There are a lot of foods out there that vegetarians can eat that other people don't eat. Try tofu, make homemade sweet potato fries, try different kinds of rice, bake vegan cookies, use almond milk in your cereal, eat a veggie burger, try chia seeds on your salad, eat pecans. Expand your palate! I'm trying really hard to taste new foods because I've always been a mac n cheese and chicken nuggets kinda girl. It's been exciting to try new things and think about all the new things I will get to try.

9. Create a Pinterest Board and Pin Like Crazy!

I made a vegan Pinterest board to pin recipes, advice, and inspiring quotes to. You can find it HERE. Pinterest is really great for inspiration when making lifestyle changes!

10. Supplement During Transition

One thing people will without a doubt say is... "But where do you get your protein?" Most people don't realize that you can get plenty of protein from plants, whole grains, nuts, beans, etc. I bought a soy-based protein powder and soy milk. One scoop of the protein and 8 ounces of soy milk add up to 30 g of protein! We really only need around 55 g a day so that is pretty dang good! I've been trying to drink one a day while I figure out how to get enough protein on a vegetarian diet.

Many also say that you will be deficient on B12. They say that vegans get their vitamins the same place that meat-eaters food get it, from plants! I made sure my daily multivitamin had plenty of B12. Do the research to make sure you're getting what you need! (Many meat-eaters don't get enough vitamins anyway!)

--------------

I've been really grateful for the support I've had during this transition. Some days are harder than others. When we went to Cafe Rio I was so sad I couldn't eat the sweet pork, then I remembered I COULD eat the sweet pork but I was choosing not to for my own reasons and it was a choice I WANTED to make.

I know this was a super long post but I hope it will be helpful if you decide to make your own vegetarian transition! I'll continue to do updates on here about my transitions and hope you'll stick around for the ride :)

My 10 Goals for 2016

Happy almost 2016! I can't believe how fast Christmas came and went. It blows my mind every single year how quickly December goes. The only good thing about Christmas being over is that it is time to celebrate a new year.

I've been working through the prep for the 2016 Lara Casey Powersheets to help me decide on my goals. It has been REVOLUTIONARY for my goal setting. Instead of feeling like I absolutely can't fail, I'm giving myself some grace and know that it's okay to not chase perfect. It's more important to chase progress. So even if every checkmark box doesn't get filled each day, each week, each month, it's OK as long as I'm still progressing.

So without further adieu, there are TEN goals that I've set. And yes that might be an outrageous amount, but I don't plan on focusing on each one every single month. I'm just taking these goals, and adding the action ideas to my tending lists for each month to tackle what feels most important to me that month. Some things will sit on the backburner each month and some will be a priority every single month.

+ GOAL ONE: Find Creative Ways to Worship

My sweet parents got me a Journaling Bible for Christmas and I am so excited to dig into that. I set a goal to read ONE book in the Bible a month. I've also pre-ordered the Write the Word Volume 1 Journal to use. I also plan to continue attending the temple 2x a month with my husband and having a monthly Ponderize scripture. We were created by a creative being, and I believe that by stretching myself creatively in worship will help me become closer to God.

+ GOAL TWO: Use the Internet for Good

I find myself mindlessly scrolling through social media far too often. I plan on taking #socialmediafreeweekends all year. This is going to be so hard. I did a trial run last weekend and caved a few times. I'm trying to figure out what to do with all the free time I have without being on social media. LOL! I plan on continuing my Monday in the Word series and sharing a weekly goal setting periscope every Monday morning as well. Another goal is to share a monthly family update on my blog and use NO SOCIAL MEDIA AFTER 9 PM. How much time could I spend in the scriptures or with my husband if I wasn't so attached to my phone at 9 pm. This will also be hard.

+ GOAL THREE: Tend to my Marriage

Make the bed every single morning. Colten loves a clean house more than anything. And when I make the bed it makes him so happy. He is 100% an acts of service love language. I also told Colten I wanted to plan two overnight getaways. We have a gift certificate we purchased this weekend to use at Anniversary Inn so we will be scheduling our first one soon! I want to write him a love note every week and read a book about marriage. I also plan to buy him a surprise at least once throughout the year. Whether big or small, just something that shows how much I love him.

+ GOAL FOUR: Take Control of Our Finances

I'll be real specific here folks. We've been using $500/paycheck from my paycheck to pay off our down payment mortgage. We should have that paid off in 4-5 months which is super exciting because we have been working super hard to pay that off. We also auto save $100/paycheck and I want to make sure that even though our goal is to pay off debt that we also are continuing to build our emergency fund. I want to complete a personal no spend month. No eating out while working, no Diet Coke runs, no new clothes, books, etc. Just one month of not spending money I don't need to. I want to donate some of my personal money each month (it's kinda like a grown up allowance so Colten and I don't have to get permission for all personal purchases) to causes that I care about. We are also building our food storage so I want to buy one thing for food storage each month.

+ GOAL FIVE: Take Care of Myself Emotionally

I want to plan one refresh day a month where the entire day is open and dedicated to recharging my personal batteries. I might have to work during the day, but the evening will be for me. I want to walk my dogs 1x a month, which I know is ridiculously low, but they get to run around our yard and we just don't take them on walks. But I want to. I plan on getting ready head to toe every single day. I work from home so I can be slobby/lazy in my appearance. Which was nice for awhile, and it's nice I can wear leggings every day, but it's done a number on my self esteem. On the days I get ready I feel so much better about myself. I'm also going to get my hair done 2x at least this year. It's been over 6 months since I last got it lightened and I am dying to be blonde again. I also plan on doing some capsule wardrobing and one big surprise for me is to get a massage this year, which I have never done!

+ GOAL SIX: Be an Encourager

I feel like I have been given the gift of being an encourager. However, I am shy and have social anxiety and struggle to reach out. I set some goals I want to try and reach this year, but will give myself lots of grace and praise for what I do accomplish. I want to invite someone over for dinner one Sunday every month, go visiting teaching and put my phone away when I'm with ANYONE. I am planning on hosting a Galentine's party again in February but truth be told I'm terrified. I also want to donate to good causes and send out "Happy mail" to someone at least 1x a month.

+ GOAL SEVEN: Improve my Eating Habits

I plan to meal prep my lunches for my work week. It may not be much, but it is do-able for me and I think it will make a big difference. Hopefully by July I can start meal prepping my breakfasts too. I want to stop eating when I'm full + eat slowly. Drink only 1 soda per day and eat only 1 dessert per day. My sweet tooth is OUT OF CONTROL. I also want to study the Word of Wisdom in Doctrine & Covenants to really understand God's perspective on eating/taking care of my body.

+ GOAL EIGHT: Improve Self Physically

Walk on the treadmill during my work breaks. This adds up to 30 minutes per day. I have been doing this for awhile now and it is so convenient and fun! I read or watch Netflix while I walk and love the break from work. I got a Fitbit for Christmas and am wearing it for awhile to get a feel for how many steps a day I take and will set a stretch goal to start reaching for. Go to bed at 10:30 and wake up at 7:00 am. Do yoga sun salutations 5 minutes per day. Walk the dogs 1x per month and stretch before bed. January I am focusing on my treadmill walking & my Fitbit. Everything else may come later.

+ GOAL NINE: Prepare to be a Mom

We are getting closer to starting a family! (My mother is probably so happy about this lol!) There are so many things I can do to prepare. I want to continue building our savings so if we have an expensive hospital baby we have savings to help, I want to tour a birth center and read books about pregnancy, childbirth and breastfeeding. I also want to look up some classes in my area about birthing. (aka Bradley, Hypnobirthing, all that jazz) Another exciting thing is we are going to start taking the steps to be approved for adoption/foster care. Ever since we were married Colten and I have talked about the possibility of fostering and adopting children. We decided this year we want to take the steps to be approved including doing a home study. I'm not sure how this will all play out or what God's plan is with this, but we want to be ready for anything.

+ GOAL TEN: Pray More!

Scripture reading comes pretty easy to me, but prayer for some reason becomes an afterthought, which is totally backwards I'm sure. I want to write out some prayers in my journaling Bible, and ask my Facebook friends for prayer requests. I've started a prayer list on my phone of all the times I think "I should pray for them..." or "I should pray for that..." or "I'm so grateful for this..." so that way when it comes time for me to pray, I am prepared with all the things I've been waiting to tell my Heavenly Father. I want to read a book about prayer and ask on Twitter for more prayer requests.

Phwew that was a long post. I would love to hear what some of your goals are so be sure to leave them in the comments below! You can also tweet me about them @brooklynjolley and I'd love to chat. Happy goal setting loves!

My Fitness Journey- What Comes Next?

In my last fitness post, I wrote about my Week 4 Personal Training Update, and that I was quitting. I still feel kinda weird about it. Like, I know that was the right choice for me right now, but I'm still trying to figure out where to go from here.

We just got back from a 5 day vacation (3 days in Disneyland yay!) where I chose to not worry about calories, working out or any of that! I just wanted to enjoy myself and the company I was with. However, lines at Disneyland are long, and so are flight delays, and 2 hours sitting waiting for a parade, which gave me a lot of time to ponder... What Comes Next?

What comes next in my fitness journey? Am I going to give up? Am I going to keep counting calories? Should I keep doing 30 minute workouts 5X a week? Should I give up soda again for the 100th time? Should I stop worrying about myself physically and figure out where I am mentally, emotionally, and spiritually before I start worrying about how my body looks?

I love Sharlee's post about Changing the Purpose of Exercise. Basically, I'm changing the purpose of exercise as well. I want to start working out because I LOVE my body, not because I hate it.

I want this new goal to be manageable. New habits are hard for me. Especially these types of habits, so I decided to take it easy on myself and make a goal I could actually stick to. Like 100% for sure I know I can do this without stressing out.

15 minutes a day every week day.

Should I commit more time to my health? Probably. But right now, I have a lot of other things on my plate. I'm really working on finding a balanced life right now. One where I can juggle everything I need to and still feel like I'm taking care of me.

So for right now, I'm not counting calories, I'm not weighing myself each day, I'm not buying a gym membership. I'm just working out 15 minutes a day 5X a week because I LOVE my body. I'm sure this journey will change as I change, and as my life schedule changes, and as habits become solidified. But for right now, I LOVE my body for all the great things it does. I may have 30 pounds to lose, but I'm committing 15 minutes 5X a week to loving my body and showing it the care it deserves, and that to me, is progress.

WEEK FOUR PERSONAL TRAINING // & WHAT COMES NEXT

I just wrapped up 4 weeks of working with my virtual personal trainer. It has been a really great experience, and until last week, I planned on working with her indefinitely. I probably blind-sided her by telling her I was not going to continue for the time being.

Shocked? Me too. About a week and a half ago I realized how obsessive I was becoming. We went to dinner for my sister's birthday (somewhere I almost didn't go because I knew I didn't have enough calories for the day), and I laughed because after 2 pieces of pizza I only had 14 calories left. Instead of asking my sister about her engagement, my brothers about school, or my grandma about her chemotherapy, I was going on and on about my 14 calories I had left for dessert. I didn't like that version of me.

We had friends from our church over for dinner the other night and my husband made scone burgers. Think 2 scones plus a very yummy patty. I panicked all day about how on earth I was going to fit the calories in and how fattening it was. Instead of being grateful that my husband was making his specialty for our friends, I was complaining about it all day. I didn't like THAT version of me either.

For The Strength of Youth is a pamphlet that comes from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. It gives guidelines for youth and adults alike to be their best selves and live a happy life. In the pamphlet in the Physical and Emotional Health Section it says, "To care for your body, eat nutritious food, exercise regularly, and get enough sleep. Practice balance and moderation in all aspects of your physical health. Also, avoid extremes that could lead to eating disorders."

I wouldn't necessarily say that counting my calories would eventually lead to an eating disorder, but maybe it would. It was certainly controlling my life way more than I am proud to admit. I want to be the version of me that's ME. That eats a donut every Wednesday, because that's moderation. That tries to work out 30 minutes a day, but will drop everything to serve as the Savior would. I think Heavenly Father wants me to take good care of my body, but I think he wants me to focus on the moderation for now.

So what comes next? I'm not really sure. We have a Disneyland trip coming up and I don't want to spend the whole trip worrying about finding the healthiest foods, or turning down a Mickey ice cream bar because it doesn't "fit my macros". I'm trying to figure out the moderation thing right now. I'm taking a break from calorie counting, and focusing on trying to eat more fruits and veggies and to ONLY eat when I'm hungry and ONLY eat until I'm full.

We should LOVE our bodies. Exercising and eating right should be done because we LOVE our bodies, not because we hate them. So that is what I'm focusing on. That's what comes next for now.

WEEK TWO REVIEW // PERSONAL TRAINING

Personal Training Update:

I'm officially down 2.8 lbs since last Wednesday. WHOA! My trainer suspected I had a weight fluctuation last Wednesday so she had me weigh again on Friday and it was a pretty big difference. I'm still down 1.2 lbs since Friday which is great. If I could continue to lose even 1 lb a week I will be happy with the progress.

This week I did all 5 of my workouts again. They are usually a mix between treadmill workouts, HIIT, workout DVDs I own and various other series type workouts. I don't feel like it's appropriate to share my workouts since I'm PAYING my trainer for them, but if you're looking for at trainer I'd absolutely recommend her and she's really affordable too.

I was looking up Walt Disney quotes the other day and found this one, it is AMAZING! It is exactly my mindset. I don't have to be perfect, or flawless or the best, I just have to NOT QUIT!

Also, lots of healthy foods are super low calorie which is making it hard to hit my calorie goal. I'll look at MyFitnessPal and think okay I need to eat at least another 100 calories. So I'll eat a half a cup of peas like, "Yay! 40 more calories!" lol. The struggle has been real. I think my body is so adjusted to crappy, processed food that it's not used to having more nutrient dense foods. I'm NEVER hungry. I only had one time this week where I felt hungry and had to take a work break to go eat an apple. The foods I'm eating are just keeping me super full.

Non Scale Victories:

Completing all my workouts. It's super weird on date night to be like, "Honey, I need 30 minutes to do my workout before we can go." But it's also super rewarding! I love checking it off my to do list each day. Right now I'm doing approximately 30 minutes/day Mon-Fri with Saturday and Sunday off. I try to get in a walk or something on my rest days though.

We went to Chickfila last night and instead of an adult meal I got a kids meal which are way better portioned! I had a diet lemonade, 6 regular nuggets w/ BBQ sauce, a small fruit cup and a small ice cream for 500 calories. I really wanted the fries but was so glad that the fruit didn't upset my stomach like the fries would have. Even though it was a little healthier of a dinner, as soon as I finished eating I could feel that my stomach wasn't that happy. It was so weird, and sad and happy at the same time because I know my body is changing!

This Week's Goals:

I would love to see another pound come off this week for sure!

Stay super consistent and complete all my workouts from my trainer.

Eat more fruits and veggies each day. For me this means veggies at least 1X a day and fruits 2X a day. I'm just so not used to eating like this.

Week One Review // Personal Training

Personal Training Update:

Yesterday was the end of Week One with my virtual personal trainer. She's been checking my MyFitnessPal (where I track what I'm eating) everyday and sending me tips and updates, and I did all 5 workouts she planned for me! Woo hoo!

I love that she just plans the workouts for me and all I have to do is show up for myself. It's been rewarding to check the workout off the list each day and know that I'm taking baby steps toward my goal of being at a healthy weight.

I'm feeling good so far. This week I'm only down .6 lbs, which is not as much as I was hoping for considering how drastically I've changed my diet, but I'm
still grateful it's a loss! It means I'm down 4.2 lbs in the last 5 weeks. I didn't really commit until this past week though so... I hope there's much more good to come!

Non Scale Victories:

I did not have one single time this week where I said "Oh my gosh, why did I eat so much??" Sadly, this was a common occurrence before. But this week, I never felt too full, and I never felt hunger pangs, I just felt satiated. And I did not feel bloated ever either!

I completed all my workouts. They each took around 30 minutes, except my yoga DVD which was 52 minutes. This is a real big victory for me to take 30 minutes out of my day 5X a week to workout and I'm really proud of that!

This Week's Goals:

I'm really hoping to lose 1-2 pounds this week, but even if I don't it will still be okay.

My goal this week is to do all my workouts again from my trainer. I want to make that 30+ minutes really count and make it high priority on my to do list. I need to keep showing up for myself.

I'm also trying to figure out how to add more veggies to my diet. I tried brussel sprouts and.... ew. Not tasty for me at all hahaha. However, broccoli is yummy! Any great veggie recipes? Send them my way!!

Getting Started // @fitandjolley

"Your soul consists of your body and spirit. Feeding the spirit while neglecting the body, which is a temple, usually leads to spiritual dissonance and lowered self-esteem. If you are out of shape, if you are uncomfortable in your own body and can do something about it, then do it!

Please use good judgement in what and especially how much you eat, and regularly give your body the exercise it needs and deserves. If you are physically able, decide today to be the master of your own house and begin a regular, long-term exercise program, suited to your abilities, combined with a healthier diet. Spiritual confidence increases when your spirit, with the help of the Savior, is truly in charge of your natural man or woman"

Yoga Pants: Albion Fit

I'll try and write updates here on my blog as often as possible, but if you'd like to see my day to day life, you can follow me at @fitandjolley where I'm documenting the ups, downs, meals, workouts and all that jazz.

Wednesday September 9th I am getting started with a virtual personal trainer. She is going to be writing my workout plans, and checking my MyFitnessPal on the regular to give me advice. It's pretty inexpensive and I'm excited to be working with an expert!

So go follow me at @fitandjolley and let me know if you're on your own fitness journey! I'm really trying to make this more of a lifestyle change and not so much a quick fix diet, which is something my personal trainer really believes in too.

I can do hard things, and more than that, I can do ALL things through Christ, who strengthens me. Phillipians 4:13 So welcome to my journey, here we go!
